O.R. Tambo Airport + Gautrain Ride
Guided airport tour at O.R. Tambo International — arrivals, departures and runway viewpoints — paired with a Gautrain ride accompanied by a Wilrien Tours representative.
About this tour
This O.R. Tambo Airport and Gautrain Ride combo school tour pairs two of Gauteng's most impressive transport experiences in one CAPS-aligned Tourism day. It is built for Grade 6–12 learners, especially FET Tourism classes from Johannesburg and Pretoria schools.
The morning is spent at O.R. Tambo International in Kempton Park, where a registered tourist guide walks learners through the airport to better understand the tourism industry — covering arrivals, departures, foreign exchange, car hire, self-help check-in, information boards, the Gautrain link, the Oliver Reginald Tambo statues and the full history of the airport. The group then boards the Gautrain — accompanied by a Wilrien Tours representative — to experience high-speed rail and the airport-to-city link in action.
Wilrien School Tours handles the full educational excursion package: bus transport (if required) from your school, airport access, Gautrain tickets, professional guiding and teacher support — making it one of the most requested Tourism school tours in Gauteng.
