Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre
Guided walking tour to see and learn about the cheetahs, then fun activities at the Environmental Centre.
About this tour
The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre school tour, at De Wildt just outside Pretoria, is a special CAPS-aligned Life Sciences excursion for Foundation, Intermediate and Senior learners. The centre is world-famous for its breeding and conservation work with cheetahs and other endangered species.
Guided walking tours bring learners face to face with cheetahs, wild dogs and other rare predators, with conservation educators explaining behaviour, breeding, habitat and the very real threats these animals face. The visit ends with hands-on activities at the Environmental Centre, reinforcing biodiversity and ecology lessons.
Wilrien School Tours handles the full educational excursion package: bus transport (if required) from your school, centre entry, professional guiding and teacher support — making it one of the most requested Life Sciences school tours for Gauteng schools.
