Sci-Bono Science Centre, Johannesburg
Largest science exhibition centre on the continent, in Newtown — an initiative of the Gauteng Department of Education.
About this tour
The Sci-Bono Discovery Centre school tour in Newtown, Johannesburg, is the largest science centre on the African continent and a flagship CAPS-aligned Maths, Science and Technology excursion. Backed by the Gauteng Department of Education, it is built specifically for Grade 1–12 learners across every phase.
Hands-on exhibits cover electricity, mechanics, structures, mathematics, robotics, the human body, mining and innovation. Learners experiment, build, solve and play their way through real curriculum content, with educators on hand to deepen the experience. It is the kind of day that turns reluctant science students into curious ones.
Wilrien School Tours handles the full educational excursion package: bus transport (if required) from your school, Sci-Bono entry, professional guiding and teacher support — making it one of the most requested Science school tours in Gauteng.
